This Men’s Fashion Trend Is All Over Social Media

If you have even just slightly gone through your feed lately, you would have noticed abrupt changes in menswear. All skinny jeans seem to have been officially consigned to rest. Today, this trend popularly referred to as “Relaxed Minimalism” or “Quiet Luxury” comes in. It creates a comforting veil of high-grade fabric in shapes and silhouettes which feel more relaxed than constricting.

Jeans destined for the grave

One obvious sign of this trend is the revival of wide-leg and loosely fitted pants from what has been seen of men in fashion in the past. The key aspiration among men today is the use of really big pants that have shoulder leeway in terms of weight, while at the same time going high waist for cool draping that is very masculine and sophisticated.

In the Old Money Aesthetic

The old Money grade is blowing up on social media. Absolute pieces are timeless: linen shirts, pleated trousers, and loafers, because it’s meant to be rich and established, without any overt logos, or flashy brand names instead, it projects expensive fit and fabric rather than labels.

Neutral Color Palettes

Neons are deflected, rather subtly, and replaced with white Earth colours , beige, olive green, cream, navy, and slate grey, all of them screamed cool cot chic; a few work basics topped with a superior-look facade.

Oversized Tailoring

In as much as suits are turning into a very non-business thing altogether, blazers are also oversized and unpadded, which deflates the intense upscale aura of the whole look when paired with a simple white tee or a turtleneck.

The Grandad Cardigan Resurgence

Influencers are currently all the rage with chunky knits and vintage cardigans, which on plain tees tend to balance texture in their outfits. They are wholesome, not to mention an aesthetically smart choice against the rugged aggression which took over streetwear fashion last season.

Minimal White Sneakers

Updated from bulky dad sneakers in the past, clean, minimalist, simple white sneakers with their leather sheen are the makers of a smile in the crowd. Wearing them is as simple as slipping your feet into sneakers or something to go with your three-piece suit.

Texture Instead of Prints

The latest trend among men is the wearing of clothes, which has an interesting texture rather than the busy pattern shirt. The textures push changing trends with corduroy, seersucker, waffle knit cotton to heavy linen. Note that texture can add visual interest to an outfit without being “loud” or busy.

Advanced Athleisure

The attitude that anything that looks at all like gym wear will pass just got taken to an advanced hoodie and jogger style, but luxe and heavy-cotton, yet heavily structured. Smart enough to wear to a coffee date or casual meeting, then, is loungewear.

Statement Accessories

As the clothing decreases, the accessories become a point of focus. These are some of the trending across social media: small crossbody handbags, silver “chain” necklaces, to name a few vintage watches. These are small accoutrements to make that personality personalized in an otherwise minimal outfit.

Sustainability

The new age fashion influencers have started to distance themselves from fast fashion. People are tending toward owning less and owning better. That is why many men invest in buying one high-quality jacket or a pair of leather shoes that will outlast them for years instead of being irrelevant for months.
